Within the framework of the regional project RLA/7/025, REMARCO researchers developed protocols for sampling and analysis of microplastics in the marine-coastal environment. These protocols allow determining the abundance of microplastic particles in environmental matrices, becoming another achievement for the Latin American and Caribbean region to advance in the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14: Underwater Life.
